Hello,
I'm Yulia Abramova
AMFT #158903 and APCC#20840
I am Russian-Ukrainian Jewish, ADHD, and C-PTSD, identifying as a woman.
I believe people are wired for connection and need it not just to survive, but to thrive. Yet, I see how our individual life experiences, family histories, and cultures can limit our capacity to stay connected to ourselves, to others, and to the world
It often feels isolated, unsafe—not enough, or not the right kind. I believe healing happens when human-to-human connection becomes possible again. In meeting you, I am curious to get to know you whole. I would support a safe pace, yet I invite aliveness and offer the challenge
Hello,
I'm Yulia Abramova

I know it can be not easy to find a right person to be the therapist. So many people and approaches out there. Can be quite a quest.
Let me orient you to how our work together might look like, so you can feel if that sounds like a fit.
I believe that healing happens through connection and in the pace of the body.
My Approach:
First, we establish a connection that is safe enough—human to human. No push, no rush, and no judgment. We simply learn to be together and feel okay in that space. Every part of you is welcome here.
From there, I will help you identify your needs and intentions as we attune to them together. It can be tricky to figure out what you truly want while navigating layers of family expectations and cultural ideas.
I believe there is an abundance of resources in the world and within every human being. We all need support in different ways: help holding difficult feelings, finding the security to explore new things, sharing joy, or planning and taking action.
However, because of our histories, we often learn ways to avoid asking for—or receiving—what we need. Part of our work together will be to look at the parts of you that stop you from being yourself and living the life you want. These parts are often there for a reason, developed as a survival response to your environment.
I Have Experience Working With:
- Adults
Adults struggling with PTSD, C-PTSD or in other words shock or attachment trauma.
I love working with nervous system dysregulation, when the world feels pretty overwhelming and nervous system is very sensitive to it.
A lot of my clients are very productive in life, yet suffer from exhaustion and lack of self-care.
Attachment is my primary focus and I invite folks who struggle with wanted and yet being scared of intimate relationship. - Couples
I welcome high intensity couples, with conflicts circling again and again
I am curious about different strategies of hanging stress, when one person in the couple wants to take space, while the other feels the urge to connect
I am happy to support raptures which might have happened - Teens
I invite teens with intense emotions such as anger outburst, high anxiety, depression.
I also welcome those struggling with social connections, low motivation and low-self-esteem.
I do work with suicidal and self-harm behavior. - Kids
I welcome kids with social anxiety and ADHD.
I support kids struggling with “bad behavior” at school, not listening to teachers, getting angry or distracted, having troubles with peers.
