Spiral Process Therapy

Psychedelic Process Training for Therapists — Santa Cruz, CA

6-Day In-Person Psychedelic Therapy Training

Spiral Process Therapy offers an immersive, 6-day in-person training program for therapist and healing practitioners seeking to integrate psychedelic-assisted therapy into their practice. Led by Dmitry Vulfovich, LMFT — Founder, Clinical Director, and Process Therapy Master Teacher — this training combines somatic experiential methods with Psychedelic Assisted Therapy and  ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) facilitation skills. Held in Santa Cruz, CA, this program is designed for healers who want hands-on, embodied training rather than a purely didactic approach. Practice sessions will be experienced using oral ketamine. In addition to providing Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), students will also gain experience as a KAP clients themselves. Only those who have already taken the foundational Spiral Process Method (SPM) training, or an equivalent experiential therapy course (e.g., Hakomi, IFS, Somatic Experiencing) can apply.

What You Will Learn:

This training covers the full arc of psychedelic-assisted therapy — from assessment, vetting and preparation through facilitation, integration, and collaborative care with prescribers.

  • History of Shamanism and Ethnobotany

  • Understanding the altered state and its opportunity to access the inner healing intelligence.

  • How to assess if a client is appropriate for psychedelic treatment

  • How to prepare a client for the psychedelic experience

  • Ways to help deepen the client towards their inner healing intelligence

  • Experiential methods (e.g. movement, somatic, chair work, expressive arts, guided imagery, and more)

  • How to use touch and attachment healing as part of psychedelic therapy

  • How to help the client integrate and apply the lessons and newfound perspectives into their daily life

  • How to work with the providers, prescribers and community leaders to give clients access to the medicine

  • How to hold space for clients in a dynamic, centered and non-agendized manner

Who Should Apply:

This training is open to all healing practitioners including coaches, shamans, nurses, doctors, licensed therapists and registered associates (LMFT, LCSW, MFT, psychologists, and equivalents). We highly value those who have completed the Spiral Process Method course or an equivalent experiential therapy foundation such as Hakomi, IFS, or Somatic Experiencing. It is ideal for therapists who are already trauma-informed and body-oriented and want to deepen their capacity to work with non-ordinary states of consciousness.
